He previously was vice president, commercial operations, at AMAG Pharmaceuticals.…Tris Pharma appointed Amanda Wohlleber vice president of scale up and technical services. He will succeed Bill Gracey, who is taking over the role of president and CEO upon the Dec. 31 retirement of Vicky Gregg. Hickey joined BCBST in March 2011 as senior vice president as well as president and CEO of the Tennessee Blues Medicaid unit Volunteer State Health Plan. She was vice president of brand marketing at Hilton Worldwide....WPS Health Insurance, a not-for-profit health insurance company in Madison, Wis., named Michael Hamerlik president and CEO effective June 11, 2012. Hamerlik will replace Jim Riordan, who will be retiring after more than 20 years in that role.

• Lewis Morris, longtime chief counsel to the HHS Inspector General (IG), will retire, effective April 1. He will be replaced by Gregory Demske, who is assistant IG for legal affairs. Demske has been with the counsel's office since September 1990, when he was hired as a staff attorney. He became the administrative and civil remedies branch chief in October 2002, and assistant IG for legal affairs in 2005....DuBois Regional Medical Center in DuBois, Pa., named Janice Hamscher chief nursing officer (CNO). Hamscher was CNO and senior vice president at Saint Vincent Health System in Erie, Pa.

Gallas was executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Apria Healthcare.

Considine is commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance....CVS Caremark appointed Larry Burton senior vice president of government affairs. Burton was executive director at Business Roundtable in Washington, D.C.

• The California Public Employees’ Retirement System promoted Stacie Sormano to lead its Retirement Research and Planning Division. Sormano was manager of decision services....The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America named Mit Spears executive vice president and general counsel. Spears was partner at the Washington, D.C., office of the international law firm Ropes & Gray, LLP.

Myers was a senior clinical product expert at PatientSafe Solutions....Intellipharmaceutics Ltd. appointed Ira Baeringer vice president of business development.
